Come Paddle with Mark Hall, Delta Kayak
Designer!
Paddle Nootka Island on the west
coast of Vancouver Island.
Trip summery:
We meet in Gold River BC. (you can
fly into Campbell River and catch a bus to Gold River) on the
afternoon of Wednesday September the 23rd 2009 and
returning to Gold River on October 2nd. 2009. The first night is
spent in a hotel in Gold River (the hotel room is covered in the
cost of the trip). The evening of the 24th. we'll have a meal
together so we can all meet.
On Thursday September the 25th.
we'll catch the boat at 7:00 AM. we'll watch the boat delivering
supplies to stops along the way to our departure spot off the
shores of Nootka Island.
We'll paddle about a hundred meters
to shore and either camp there or continue around the island to
our preferred camp spot, depending on the weather and
conditions.
We will camp at our preferred
camp spot for the duration of our paddling trip and do day
paddles with an empty boat each day.
On the island there are great places
to go hiking if you prefer that to a day out in the kayaks, the
time is yours so you can relax however you wish.
Mark Hall of Delta kayaks is leading
the trip, Marks an experienced paddler, sea kayak guide and trip
leader.
